University life beckons for Stephen Cleverly, Kevin Holdstock, James Watson and Andrew Champion |
FOUR students at the Dover
Boys' Grammar School have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge
universities. Stephen Cleverley has been offered a place at St Edmund's Hall,
Oxford; to read biochemistry, Kevin Holdstock intends to read maths at Downing
College, Cambridge, James Watson hopes to study Jurisprudence at St Anne's
College, Oxford, while head boy Andrew Champion will be studying natural
sciences at Selwyn College, Cambridge.
All four are now studying hard in order to gain the highest
possible grades in their A level exams this summer.
A school spokesman said: "Last year no less
than 41 of our students gained places at universities and polytechnics.
"We hope for even better results this year and - these four
successes have certainly 'got us off to, a good start."
