Student will stage comedy in the round.
STUDENTS from Dover Grammar Schools are getting together this month to present their latest joint theatrical production, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Perhaps the most popular of all Shakespear's plays, it has appealed for all age groups, mixing a fascinating portrayal of the fickleness of human relationships with uproarious comedy from the armature actors who perform their play within a play.
"It is highly visual, fast-moving theatre whose impact will be increased by our decision to present it in the round, with the action played out in the heart of the audience," said director Mike Thomas.
The 25-strong cast is drawn from the entire age range of the boys' school and included seven pupils from the girls' school.
Performances are at 7.30pm at the boys' school on March 30 and 31 and April 1.
Tickets are £3 for adults and £1.50 for students and are available from both schools.
