YOUNGSTERS are all set to stage a modern version of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Members of the Dover Youth Theatre will be performing Jankyn's Gold on the lawn of the White Cliffs Experience, in the town's Market Square from 2 and 3pm on Sunday, September 21.
The modern language play was adapted from the Wife of Bath's Tale and the Pardoner's Tale by Michael Thomas, head of English and Drama at Dover Grammar School for Boys, in Astor Avenue.
The up-dated versions features Dover Grammar Schoolgirl Gemma Wilkie, 17, of Forge Lane, Whitfield, as the Wife of Bath while Dover Grammar Schoolboy Robert Dunstone, 16, of Kingston Close, River, plays a double the Pardoner and Death.
Gemma also represents the South East area on the National Youth Theatre.
