Noel D'Arcy, 12, has been picked-to play the role of an enthusiastic but rather selfish Mr Toad in Alan Bennett's stage version of the popular novel, which is on at Dover Grammar School for Boys, in Astor Avenue, between Thursday, next week and Saturday, March 13.
James Garlick's short sighted Moley, Paul Mitchell's gruff, but wise Badger and Edward Smith's Ratty will be attempting to restrain Mr Toad's foolish excesses. Their masks were made by the school's art department.
Pupils from Dover Grammar School for Girls are also involved. The 28 cast members are being directed by Lynne Watson, who teaches drama and English at the boys' grammar.
Performances start at 7.15pm. For tickets at £3 or £1.50, ring (01304) 206117.
