Boys' excellent endeavours

EFFORT, achievement and academic excellence were among the qualities rewarded at the Dover Boys' Grammar School's junior prizegiving.
Musical students also provided entertainment with items from the school's Brass Ensemble and Big Band, and there was a flute duet by Aaron Hobday and Thomas Munford.
Merit certificates were awarded to: Year Seven - Andrew Barnes, Sam Best, James Chainey, Simon Cullen, Daniel Keenan, Michael Knott, Andrew Davison, James Dray, Stuart Ferguson, Samuel Marriner, Richard Williamson, Joel Wade, Matthew Johncock, Mauro Loritz, Mark Ritson, Alex Rodgers, Samuel Berry, Joseph Grilli, Daniel Huxtable, Jefferson Lehan-Finn and Nicholas Thatcher.

The Audrey Elliott prize for special endeavour was won jointly by Samuel Wilkes and Ross Greig; the Arnold Shield for cross-country went to Luke Phillips; the CCF Army Section Prize, the Payton Cup, was won by Miles Brett, and the CCF RAF Section Prize, the Bridlington Cup, was won by Gregory Morris.
Platinum certificates were awarded to James Dray, Samuel Marriner, Luke Phillips, Richard Williamson, Daniel Huxtable, Enam Khan, Adam Kew, Christopher Leach, Vahe Aliev, Kenneth Birmingham, Anthony Crockett, David Harper, Ben Punton, Craig Trimble, Paul Cairns, Sean Golden, Stephen O'Brien and Bradley Thomas.
Luke Phillips, Anthony Crockett and Thomas Loomes were the commendation prizewinners.
