Drums beat time at school

    DRUM beats and stick drill sounded at assembly as the Corps of Drums of Dover Boys' Grammar Combined Cadet Force performed.
    Led by Sgt Shaun Friend, Cadet WO Gary Thomas, Flgt Sgt James Downer, L/Cpl Robbie Cockings and Cadet Nicholas Jones on bass drum gave only their second performance since the band formed earlier last year.
    Gary said: "We were playing different rhythms and doing stick drill, which was what a lot of people commented on.
    "Now we are hoping to bring more drummers into the corps to replace those that leave in the next two years."
