Group Commander Cross put the pupils through their paces in the examination which happens every two years.
More than 60 air and army cadets were involved in the inspection which ended with a well organised parade. Staff liaison officer Stephen Nugus said: "The early indication is that standards have indeed been met end our cadets were impressive."
A successful inspection guarantees future military funding for the CCF.
Headteacher Neil Slater said: "I am delighted to be a part of this. It's all entirely voluntary and they're all so keen."
Several pupils go on to join the armed forces and the school soon hope to add a naval contingent to their cadet force.
