Pupils take on trek challenge

FOUR pupils from Dover Boys' Grammar School are heading for Morocco this month for an expedition challenge.

Lee Aicken, James Jolliffe, Chris Keen and James Walker will be flying out from London to Marrakech on October 24 at the start of an eight-day trek across the country, including the High Atlas Mountains.

The boys are joining five pupils from Cardiff High School for the expedition, experiencing a completely different continent, climate and culture.

Morocco is the World Challenge Expeditions' most visited destination, with more than 50 teams going there in 2001.

Only the first and final nights are spent in hotels, the rest of the time the group will be camping.

The Dover boys have received sponsorship for the trip from Frans Maas, Adams Printers, MCL Graphics, and Field and Trek in Canterbury.

Chris Keen also undertook a sponsored run and worked at the Pines Gardens at St Margaret's during the summer holiday to raise money for the expedition.
