Career is set to take off
FORMER
Dover Grammar School pupil Max Hayward is all set for a high-flying career after
graduating with the Royal Air Force.
Flying Officer Hayward who grew up at Kingsdown, attended St Margaret's Primary School and then the Dover Grammar School for Boys.
While he was there, he was a member of the Combined Cadet Force for six years and reached the position of Contingent Senior Cadet.
He then graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury with an honours degree in electronic engineering with medical electronics.
"While at university I was a member of the University of London Air Squadron and completed the Elementary Flying Training Course at RAF Wyton," said Max.
This month, he graduated from number 203 Initial Officer Training Course at Royal Air Force College, Cranwell.
"I am based at Wattisham Airfield and will be commencing my professional helicopter training at RAF Shawbury in the early part of 2004," he added.
