Prince's Trust

MARIGOLDS were at the ready last week as the grounds of Dover boys' grammar sprang into spring with a seasonal clean.
Twelve volunteers from the Prince's Trust team were on hand to mend fences and plant flowers - all part of a personal development programme being run by company Southern Water.
The team, aged between 16 and 25, is based in the school's grounds with the two organisations working closely together to help the site gain specialist status in business and enterprise. Head-teacher Julia Bell said: "We are delighted that the team have provided much needed help to keep the school looking good.
They are a welcome addition to the school and we are extremely grateful for their help."
The project formed part of a 12-week programme which aims to develop volunteers' skills and help them find employment.
