Trust volunteers help school get set for spring
VOLUNTEERS taking part in a Prince's Trust scheme have given the grounds of Dover Boys' Grammar School an early spring clean.
The team of 12 volunteers, aged 16 to 25, repaired fencing and planted flowers as part of a personal development programme run by Southern Water.
The team is based in the grounds of the school and is working closely with the school to help in its efforts to acquire specialist status for business and enterprise.

Head teacher Julia Bell said: "We are delighted that the team have provided much-needed help to keep the school looking good. They are a welcome addition to the school and we are extremely grateful for their help."
The project is part of a 12-week programme which develops key skills and helps the volunteers to find employment. In addition to the community project, volunteers take part in a residential teambuilding course and carry out a work placement.
Southern Water has run 27 Prince's Trust teams across Kent and about 300 young people have benefited from the programme.
More than 70 per cent of volunteers who take part in a Prince's Trust team go on to further education, training or employment.
