Antony Hook at the Bar

ANTONY Hook, 24, of Harold Road, Deal, has been sworn in a Member of the Bar at a ceremony at the legal profession's ancient home, the Inner Temple in London.

The former Dover Grammar student was the youngest candidate of any party in the last General Election when he stood in the Dover and Deal constituency for the Liberal Democrats.

After finishing school and a brief time working in a Zimbabwean game reserve, Mr Hook went to University College, London. He began his schooling at Sandown Primary in Deal.

He intends to remain based in Deal and travels to courts throughout Kent and the South East.

Mr Hook is following in a family tradition.

His father, Robin Hook, is principal legal advisor to East Kent magistrates.
