Crowd: Boys gather in the hall to hear the author’s talk |
CHILDREN’S author Mark Robson visited a Dover school to talk about his books and his experiences as a pilot.
The writer, whose works include Dragon Orb and Imperial Spy, spoke to pupils at Dover Grammar School for Boys before signing copies of his fantasy novels.
Mark, a former RAF pilot turned author, also gave students tips on successful creative writing.
Linda George, the school librarian, said: “Lots of references were made to flying, experiences taken from a first-hand perspective. The talk was fast and engaging, with plenty of question and answer interaction with the audience.
“The main consensus was that it was both inspirational and enjoyable.”
The visit, the fourth author appearance at the school this year, was organised by Sandwich Bookshop owner Louise Vance and publishing house Simon & Schuster.
