A STUDENT from Dover Grammar School for Boys met the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alastair Darling. Scott Wright joined 19 other young people from across the UK at 11 Downing Street to discuss their concerns, and those of schools overseas that they partner through the British Council, ahead of this week’s London G20 Summit. Among the issues that the group of school students discussed were solutions to the current global economic crisis, the role of politicians in finding a way out of this, how it’s affecting people across the world and the importance of not diverting efforts away from combating climate change.
