‘Jungle bunny’ row councillor investigated
A MEETING to investigate the racist remarks of a Deal councillor will take place on Monday.
Cllr Bob Frost was suspended from the local Conservative party, after making the “jungle' bunny” comments on Facebook after the London riots in July.
His case will be discussed by the standards committee initial assessment and consideration sub-committee at 6pm.
Mr Frost, who represents the North Deal ward on the district council, later removed the comments and apologised when the story broke.
He left his job as a part-time maths teacher at Sir Roger Man-wood’s School, Sandwich.
Although he was suspended pending further investigation, he was not expelled from the Conservative Party, a decision condemned by the Dover branch of Unison and the Labour members of the district council.
