CD Pop group cover design.
A Pop/Rock group have just released their latest CD and need some designers to produce the art-work for the CD sleeve.
The Group have the name KALEIDOSCOPE and the album is titled COLOUR-BLIND.
You are to research various CD layout designs with respect to the size and folding requirements of the front and back covers.
Using A3 paper, you will need a border, your name in the bottom right hand corner and the following design criteria:-
The A3 sheet should have the title CD DESIGN as a title at the top/middle of the page, in your chosen style/font and in colour.
The front and back cover MUST be the correct size and dimensioned, indicate any folding necessary for insertion into the box.
A front and back cover design, indicating the groups name KALEIDOSCOPE and the CD title COLOUR-BLIND on the front cover, and a complimentary design for the back cover without the groups name or CD title on.
You may use computer graphics or hand drawn. Felt tip pens or biro’s are NOT to be used.
Marking scheme.
Border 5 marks for design, 5 marks for neatness
Name 5 marks for neatness
Title 10 marks for design, neatness, and colour
Design 10 marks for correct dimensioning
35 marks for design. Colour and neatness of name Kaleidoscope and Colour-Blind.
30 marks for background design and layout.
