DESIGN PROJECT F
Book Markers.
Your local library is doing a promotion to encourage the lending of books and have decided to include a simple bookmark with every book borrowed. Your task is to design two bookmarks for mass production for your local library.
Using A3 paper, you will need a border, your name in the bottom right hand corner and the following design criteria:-
The title of this folio is LIBRARY BOOK MARK and should be in neat letters of your chosen style/font in the top-middle of the A3 paper.
Divide the remainder of your A3 folio into two parts with a line/border extension down the middle of the page so you have a left and right hand area.
The left hand area should contain four rectangles 200mm by 50mm in size and within each of them your chosen design. You may use lettering of a neat font/style and any wording you think necessary to promote the library. Each should also contain plenty of colour and/or graphics connected to reading/books.
The right hand of the folio should contain the design for a “Corner book-mark”, produced as a Net/Development, dimensioned and indicated where there are any folds and glue points.
Within the Net/Development you should include your design. The design being one that compliments (in the same style) as one of the conventional bookmarks on the left of your folio.
The corner bookmark works as follows. When made, the corner bookmark is in the shape of a triangle and works by slipping the page you are marking inside the bookmark envelope. The final bookmark should be no bigger than 50mm by 50mm.
You may use computer graphics if available, coloured pencils etc. Biros and felt tip pens are NOT to be used.
