Snakes & Ladders
A games firm have been asked to produce a new board game based on the “Snakes and Ladders”
Using A3 paper, you will need a border, your name in the bottom right hand corner and the following design criteria:-
The title of this folio is SNAKES AND LADDERS and should be in neat letters of your chosen style/font in the top-middle of the A3 paper.
The board game should contain at least 100 squares, they need not be in a 10 by 10 square.
You are to produce a brand new theme other than “Snakes” and “Ladders” for this game based on the usual “Snakes and Ladders” rules
You may use computer graphics if available, coloured pencils etc. Biros and felt tip pens are NOT to be used.
The design in each square must contain a number in sequence of order, using your chosen font, which must be neat and uniform throughout. You may NOT use Snakes and Ladders but a different design, overlaid on the board, so that it is obvious whether you rise to a new level or fall to a lower level.
The board is to be aimed at 4 years and above and must be colourful in design.
Dice and counter design need not be shown at this stage.
Marking scheme.
Border 5 marks for design, 5 marks for neatness
Name 5 marks for neatness
Title 5 marks for design, neatness, and colour
20 marks for neatness, colour and design of numbering font
20 marks for new ladders design
20 marks for new snakes design
20 marks for board layout and background of squares.
