DESIGN PROJECT M

Shop Front Sign.

A well established shop in your town wishes to redesign its hoarding above the shop that advertises who it is. The old design contained simple 2 dimensional lettering and the owner wishes to make it stand out by using colourful three dimensional letters and tasteful graphics.

Using A3 paper, you will need a border, your name in the bottom right hand corner and the following design criteria:-

The title of this folio is SHOP FRONT LETTERING and should be in neat letters of your chosen style/font in the top-middle of the A3 paper.

The shop front used has room over the window that is 9m wide by 3m tall and it is in this area that you are to design your lettering. I suggest the lettering be in a border for maximum effect.

There is also space either side of the windows and door for extra wording/graphics that occupies a space 500mm wide by 2m tall, again, you should have three dimensional wording and one graphic on each.

Marking scheme.

Border 5 marks for design, 5 marks for neatness

Name 5 marks for neatness

Title 5 marks for neatness, colour and design.

10 marks for designing within the correct size.

40 marks for the main design over the shop window

15 marks for each of the upright designs.
