DESIGN PROJECT S
Christmas Cards
This is a legitimate school project in which Dover Grammar School for Boys will design, manufacture and sell Christmas Cards for sale to pupils, parents, teachers and friends.
The final cards will be manufactured on A5 card and folded. They will contain a full coloured front of various designs and a simple message inside each card. The designs may be either landscape or portrait.
Using A3 paper, you will need a fancy, full coloured border, your name in the bottom right hand corner in neat capital letters and the following design criteria:-
The A3 sheet should have the title CHRISTMAS CARDS as a title at the top/middle of the page, in your chosen style/font and in colour.
Divide the remaining space into four rectangles exactly 120mm X 80mm, two of which will be in landscape, the other two in portrait.
Within these rectangles you are to design, in full colour, four different Christmas cards. Underneath each, you are to write a simple message for the inside of the card.
You may use computer graphics, hand drawn, magazine cut-out’s etc. but ALL must be original and your own work. The best of these cards WILL be used for manufacture.
Marking scheme.
Border 5 marks for design, 5 marks for neatness
Name 5 marks for neatness
Title 5 marks for colour, font and neatness.
Card 1 15 marks for design, 5 for message.
Card 2 15 marks for design, 5 for message.
Card 3 15 marks for design, 5 for message.
Card 4 15 marks for design, 5 for message.
