LIFE AFTER SCHOOL

School life is more than just studying for examinations.

We exist to feed the whole man, and there are a large number of clubs and societies in the school. In the appendix there is a list of ones currently in operation.

All provide extra opportunities for taking initiatives, developing confidence and making friends. Anyone who wishes to, and who can persuade a few others to join him, will be actively encouraged to set up a new society or club for his special interest.

The photograph above shows the Combined Cadet Force. Membership is open to boys from the end of their Year 8. Parade evenings are on Fridays after school.

Additionally cadets attend courses and annual camps and go flying. They can become glider and powered aircraft pilots and attend adventurous training camps at home and abroad.

The photograph below of two members of the Archaeology Club, one of whom is holding a hand axe which is half a million years old.
