CAR IGNITION SYSTEM

Alan Rogers, the Physics technician has just unearthed a piece of laboratory history and asked me to include it on the school web pages.

This piece of equipment is still used today and is used in classes to illustrate how the car is sent electricity from the distributor to the spark plugs.

It was built at the school by two sixth form lads way back in 1962 and is a fine piece of mechanical and electrical engineering that has lasted the test of time, and is by no means outdated technology.

The two boys were F. W. JENKINS and D. N. PETTET.
