Occasionally, when browsing the vast array of information on the internet, one will come across a site that has a certain "visual effect" that catches your eye. There doesn't seem to be many sites with these "special effects", but when I do find one, being an engineer I do like to find out how they work with views to utilising them for this web site. Hopefully, when this site gets bigger and better, you should come across many "visual effects" that will leave you thinking "Wow, that was impressive. I wish my site could do that!" Well, just ask me and I'll show you how it's done. Watch the formation of a new Galaxy below.

My main aims for this site, of course, are to keep it up to date with informative information, past and present for pupils, parents and of course outside visitors. This site will contain archive material from the schools past, government documents such as the latest Ofsted report and exam league tables, current school information such as our prospectus, and my own project of a virtual walk through that will allow visitors to walk the labyrinths and corridors as if they were inside the building. (I call it the Dungeons and Dragons project. Believe me, it'll contain some surprizes behind some of the doors, I can tell you!) I already have information on all the subjects we teach and who teaches them with photographs, and some subjects have further links attached which will take them to other web sites outside of the school site to enable further curriculum studies for our pupils. Study shouldn't all be hard work though, and for this reason you'll also find the odd game attached to certain subjects that are loosely connected to them in one way or another. I do have a rather strange sense of humour and you may find that some pages have attachments or effects in them that you weren't expecting. In all, I am hoping to make this site fun to use and one of the best you'll find on the web, both visually and informatively and one that you'll want to come back to time and time again. If you have any comments or suggestions please contact me on LATEST NEWS. 10th NOVEMBER 2001 Unfortunately this web site has just been forced to retract some of its pages, inasmuch as deleting the photographs of staff members. The reasons being, (for those who are interested), that some person or persons as yet unknown, decided to use some of the photographs of the staff as published on this web site, for their own rather immature and very offensive "spoof mirror" web site. Thus, it has been decided that ALL photographs of staff are removed, bar a few who have stated that theirs should remain, and ALL photographs showing pupils will now have their faces focused out. This offensive web site has already been closed thanks to Geocities, but I, as Web designer, WILL be investigating further. I do have a lead as to the originator of the above mentioned web site and will be taking further actions. Please note. I have put a lot of work into producing this Grammar School for Boys web site, and if I have to change it due to the stupidity of certain people, I WILL take it personally.

I now know who it was who posted the spoof web site and will take things no further, but I'll be watching YOU! Oh, and CHILDISH messages in the Guest book just get deleted as well. |
